I know that many of you think that since she hasn't been born yet, there isn't a winner from the contest on this post, but of course we aren't going go back on giving away the prize just because our princess needed some more time to primp and prepare for her grand entrance! So, congratulations to, Corinna, whose guess is actually still in the running if I have the baby in the next few minutes:

So, I am 5 days overdue and I figured it was as good a day as any to get some serious stuff done. Like, do my traffic school test at a UPS store, where they can watch to make sure I am actually the one taking the test for that dumb ticket I got a couple of months back. I felt a bit like a convict and a bad mother with my big belly walking in to do the test, and having all 5 kids with me, too. Tim was there for moral support and I was able to get it done pretty quick. And I passed! So, at least I did not have to go take the test with a nursing babe at my breast. That is done with.
Why not go and visit my favorite nieces and nephews and their gorgeous Mom at their new house, too? Nat's new place is so cute and their backyard is a little boy's dream. It was so fun watching them climb the big tree in the backyard. I see God in all the details in that tree. How God met the desires of my nephews heart that way. It was a sweet time.
Then we might as well fit a picnic in Grandmom's backyard, too, right? We laid out a blanket and spent time eating corn dogs and carrots and enjoyed Grandmom and Grandad's company.
I also figured it was as good a time as any to have Walker start his bank account. He got $10 for his graduation from Grandmom and Grandad and the he wanted to start an account with the money, so off to the bank we went today. While we were waiting for our name to be called, he found a dime on the floor, so he made the grand total deposit of $10.10 and was mighty proud of himself. I am so proud of him, too. It was absolutely so cool watching him fill out his first deposit slip.
How about fitting in a trip to the thrift store? Why not? All we have is time, it seems. Thanks to Jessica over at Me and all these kids!!! for the idea. So, we stopped at the salvation Army and found a baby gate I know I will need in about 6 months, but for $4.50, it was a steal. And, come to find out that everyday is free kids book day... kids up to 13 years of age can pick out an age appropriate book and get it for free! It is supposed to be a limit of 2 per family a day, but the cashier was a blessing and let each of the little guys grab a free book. Zack got one on elephants, Walker got a book that is actually about spelling and comes with a writing wand that was more like a game because it lets him know when he is wrong or right, and Christian got the cutest book: Love Thy Neighbor, by Melody Carlson.
The book cracks me up because it is about a little boy who has a neighbor named Tim and how he is having a hard time loving him because Tim isn't very nice. There was a page that made me LOL:"Now most of the time, Tim and I have a blast.
And I think that our friendship is one that will last.
But sometimes we battle and both get defeated.
That's when I remember how I like to be treated.
And even on days when we just can't agree.
I try to love Tim the same way I love me.
And I keep these words in my heart and my head, LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF: just like Jesus said.
...and I thought to myself, maybe this book was more for me than the boys. Ya, think?!!
On our way back up the mountain, I decided to let the boys let off the last bit of steam from the day at the playground. Miguel, our oldest, decided there is definitely no time like the present to share Jesus with someone. As I sat in the van sharing some girl time on the phone with my future SIL, he was inviting someone to our church. A young mom that told him she was going through a 'hard time'. And just yesterday I was letting Satan try and tell me that I wasn't doing a good job with my kids. So, Satan, take that, you punk!
Seems you can get a lot done when you are waiting for a baby to be born. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

So glad you are enjoying yourself. To be honest I am not fun to be around at the end and I dont even go late. :) Will you remind me of your good attitude when I am pregnant again :) i cant believe they give free books there... I wonder if they do at our house. way to go Miguel. What a sweetie. Also... I love how you are teaching your children about money at a ripe age. Good for you. You will reap what you sew. Blessings.

Sounds like a cute book.
Wow, your so positive! I'm about a week and 1/2 away from due date and starting to feel it! I wonder how close they will actually be born! Looks like God is definately granting you the strength you need for these last few days!

I was hoping so much to come to your blog and see a beautiful little brownie with lots and lots of hair! Maybe next time I guess!!
Congrats on your test and that free book thing is so fun! I loved picking out books when I was a kid!
Hopefully it will bring Isabella! ha ha It is hard waiting, but at least you're not alone-having kids gives you things to do and keep your mind off of it (some)! :-)
Hope she arrives safe and sound here soon!
Bless your heart, honey! Five days overdue... and you're still able to move?! :) Praying for you!
