Super Tuesday

What a privilege it is to live in a country where I have the freedom to vote! As I picked up my sample ballot to take with me to the polls, I told Walker (our 4 year old) that I would be right back. He asked where I was going and my eldest son told him I was on my way to pick a new president. This sent Walker into a sorrowful state. As many of you know, Walker was named after our current president, George Walker Bush. Walker could not hold back tears and sobbed into my sweatshirt. "But I don't want a new president!...I love my president!' He sobbed some more. I called Tim, knowing this was a job for SuperDad. He got on the phone with Daddy and Walker says, "I just can't even talk about it." OK, he is definitely his father's son...I know Tim is also having a hard time thinking about our President having to leave office in 349 days (thanks, Ivy). I love to see the passion that Tim and his sons share for the way our country is run. Tim was able to calm Walker down by explaining the process. Although, it took Walker awhile to get past the fact that a president can only run for 2 terms. Tim invited Walker to join me to go vote. Walker, Miguel, and I all walked up to our local polling place, and Walker went through the process of voting. He is wearing his 'I Voted' sticker proudly.

Sure hope you got out and voted today...even if you are a democrat ;0) !!!
