Fifteen

FIFTEEN! My baby, Miguel, is fifteen. I have to keep repeating it because that means I am getting old, folks! It makes me look back to when I was 15, and what I thought of my parents (they were even younger when I was 15, than I am now as Miguel turns 15!). I totally thought they were so old and had no clue about what was fun, what was cool, and what the future held. Boy was I wrong! Now, I am faced with 2 teenagers of my own. Thankfully, they are very sweet and lead me to believe that they still consider me fun (loads of it, I am sure.) Miguel is kind, but he knows I am not 'with it' anymore. I do talk with him very openly, so I think this helps him know that I do have some ideas about what the future may bring. He is definitely the kind of son any mother would wish for and I never could have dreamed up such a wonderful child. I couldn't have come up with something this awesome in my head. He blesses me daily, if not every hour of the day. I know that he will make some sweet girl very happy someday by making him her husband, and then making me a Grandma! OH...getting ahead of myself.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIGUELITO JALAPENITO!
