My 3 little guys were so open to my practicing my new trade on them...
Can you tell how excited Zack is?!?!? These are his before pics. I hope that goes without saying.
Here is Christian's before picture (I totally forgot to take a shot of Walker before..bummer):
Now, dum-da-da-dum....the after shots:
ZACK
CHRISTIAN
WALKER
Now, the pics don't do justice to the crooked sideburns, the chunk I took out of Christian's side of his hair when the size 4 safety fell off the clipper, and the jagged edges throughout all their hair. But, you know what? I am sure that whenever anyone starts a new trade, it doesn't come out perfect, or even good for that matter... I learned that I could save my family money. And, seeing how proud all my kids were of me, was so sweet. Karizma praised me and told me how proud 'Dad' was going to be of me for saving him so much money. Miguel said they boys looked so good and he was proud of me. And when each of my little guys looked in the mirror, their smiles were of genuine joy and they seemed to have been blinded by love, because they didn't see all the mistakes I made. They thanked me and were so happy. They were even paying each other compliments.
I did think about taking at least Christian to the barber to try and fix my super huge blooper on the side of his head, but Miguel assures me it will grow back. And, since we stay on the mountain most of the week, I am hoping that no one at church notices..although it is pretty impossible to miss. I guess it is going to be what Auntie Nat called: 'A Signature Look'.
I did spare our 16 year old son, Miguel, from my new trade experiment, but if anyone else wants 'A Signature Look', let me know!!

proud of you and your new trade! I always cut the boys and Brandon cuts his own and I help him with the back....there's no way I'll pay for this many heads to get hair cuts....check out www.flowbee.com. Worth the investment!
oh and I took your package INTO the post office Tuesday to mail in (cash in hand!!!) and didn't even have your address on it. What a dork if I do say so myself. I'm mailing it today. Hope you like it. Jen
Great job! LOL, we have a "signature look" as well--it's known as the "very short military haircut that is hard to mess up". I've been cutting the boys' hair since the beginning, but I've never branched out and tried anything other than the same military cut. Occasionally Bob wants me to cut his hair--he gets the same cut. So I am very impressed with your skill! : )
I'd love to talk vans, but I don't know what your email is! We went with the 12 passenger one because there was absolutely no room behind the seat of the 15 one--not even for a stroller. We do a lot of traveling, so we would always have had to take the back seat out to fit suitcases, pack-n-plays, etc., which would leave us with only 11 seats, plus having to store the big 4 person seat somewhere. So it seemed like the 12 pass. was the way to go for us. Let me know if you have any other questions! : )
I'm very proud of you. First the money alone will save you a ton !! Plus there's something very rewarding when someone compliments you and you can say " I do it myself". Plus you can't mess it up because that's a signature look, remember, it's creativity. Honestly the boys ended up with lots of buzz cuts till I figured out how to cut their hair but, I like experimenting and I love being able to cut their hair when it works for me instead of running all over creation trying to find somewhere without a line. I think I was more nervous about cutting Sonoma's hair. Plus those kisses for tips is the sweetest. Good Job Girl !!
They look great! I will bring Jacob over next week! Just kidding! He doesn't need a haircut just yet. I have tried to cut his hair but only a little. Congratulations on taking on a new task, you are a great mother!
You must be so proud! You did such a great job! I love how supportive your family is of you! :)
I think you did a great job!! The kiddos look adorable.
I've been cutting everyone's hair here for years. Yea, those boys' doos do add up!

I have been cutting my kids hair for years, its pretty scary the first time i think LOL but you get used to it after a while, I can only cut 1 style, but hey, it saves us a fortune!

Wow Sis you are pretty brave! Manny says that he would like to be the one to cut our boys' hair since he's used to it. He cuts his own hair so we save money! I actually would cut his hair for a while and he says I did a good job! Maybe I'll be brave like you and treat my boys to mommy's signature look:D
