That is the kind of MIL I have.

My FIL is always checking on us to make sure we are ok, and feeling well. He is a very genuine man and I admire him so much because he has raised 3 wonderful sons to be loving and caring husbands. Tim talks about the kind of father my FIL was and I see so much of how Tim parents mirroring what he had done with his boys. Recently my FIL suggested they could take all the kiddos for an overnight stay, except for the nursing babe-of course. "YES, PLEASE DO!", I said.
That is the kind of FIL I have.
The kids had been stuck in the house for so long due to the NICU and now to having a newborn home, and my in laws gave them some relief at the beach. I was so blessed that they would do this for the kids. The boys had a blast 'surfing' with Grandad and playing on the swings with Grandmom. But, Walker could not stop talking about their picnic on the patio. My MIL and FIL take the time to really listen to them, do things with them, and praise them. My kids feel 10 feet tall around them.
I don't know that my in-laws signed up to have this many grandkids... 10 now with Isabella, and #11 coming at the end of the year... but, they have bent over backwards for each of us. I know Natalie could write a novel about all they did for their family while she was in the hospital with Gracen last year.
I tell my in laws that I sure hope I can be the kind of in law to my children's future spouses, that they have been to me. I am always so touched by their generosity, their genuine concern for each of us, and that they keep up with us all the time. I knew that this family was special once I knew I could go in their house, open the fridge, and get whatever I wanted out of it, without thinking twice. That was a big step for me and it dawned on me that it made me one of them... The first 'White' girl to join the family.
So, Mom and Dad, thank you for loving me through the last 10 years. Because of you, I have the sweetest, most tender husband, whom in turn is just as sweet and tender a father. You both have brought me much joy, made me laugh, made me think, and made me strive to become a better person and Godly woman. I love you both so much, and praise God for loving me enough to make me 'White'.
I also want to congratulate Mom and Dad... this Saturday is their 39th wedding anniversary!! Praise God!

Sounds like your in-laws are a great blessing to you! I haven't checked in for awhile. I hope you are all doing well. I'll be reading some posts to catch up. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for sharing your precious Elijah with us. He is every bit a treasured life...and one of your children. Praying that all is well with your beautiful Isabella.
Glad you like your bow purse...can't wait to see it.
Love to you,

By the way...I love the picture at the top! It is so good of you all.
I just saw Isabella's picture on the side...love it! Love the bow, too...where did you find one so big? Online somewhere? It is so precious!
What a beautiful tribute to two wonderful people! When I had the honor of meeting them at Christian's 1st brithday, they just seemed so sweet! Reading your post also reminded me of when you'd tell me all about how you guys had spent time with them and had a blessed time. The kids have always seemed to enjoy their company...I thought it was so cute on this last trip we did, Christian looks at me and says (with teary eyes), "I didn't get to say bye to Grandmom" ahhhhhh my heart melted...I could seee that his love for her is genuine! Oh yeah....you are the first "White" girl to be recruited lol. I can totally see you sitting in the living room having girl talk with your MIL..too cute! I hear of horror stories..ya know the suegra stories and even cruel comments and I am blessed to know that I don't have to suffer like that because I too am blessed with an amazing MIL!
What a beuatiful family pic Sis! I see the little princess all dressed up in her bow. Christian is starting to loose his babeface lol. Looks like you guys had fun taking the pic;D
HUGS from your cuniada:D
Thank you so much for the comment. It meant more to me than you will ever know. To know that Isaiah's life is touching others, is priceless to me. God Bless.

I thought it was so funny when you said something about a "white" girl at first...I forgot about the last name. he he
Clearance at Wal-mart, huh? I'll have to look around. Isabella doesn't need to send Savannah anything...we already owe Isabella something...we're behind! ;-)
