We had the pleasure of going to have a nice lunch with our good friend's, the Cecil's. As we were enjoying our food, Christine was asking what we were going to be doing for Thanksgiving. I proceeded to tell her about how we spend every Thanksgiving with my parents and how much I look forward to the homemade gravy my Mom makes. "She makes it from the turkey droppings," I said. "OH, NO, I meant to say, drippings, TURKEY DRIPPINGS! NOT DROPPINGS! Sorry!"
The Cecil's were very sweet and totally overlooked it, but Tim did not let me live it down all day. I suppose he will bring it up at Thanksgiving and make some joke about it then.
Sorry, Mom, it was totally a slip of the tongue and not in any way a slight on your wonderful recipe!!!!
