Dear Diary,

It has been such a long time since I have updated the blog with a dear diary post about Tim. Things have changed so much lately with medication, his level of being able to function...or not function, using a cane...not using a cane. It has been a roller coaster ride to say the least for the last 3 months. However, we must keep our eyes fixated on Jesus to get through this time. It is the only thing that will help us maintain sanity.

Tim did start a new medication, Methadone, within the last 2 months and it seems to be working better for him than the Oxycontin did. He seems to be able to function more on the Methadone. What I mean by 'function' is being a bit more alert, more able to move (he seemed so stiff before), and in an overall better mood. I suppose when you are in less pain, it would make you happier. Plus, with the Chargers winning this past Sunday, he was in a really fantastic mood! He also started to take Lyrica this past week, which seems to have encouraging effects already.

Of course, our heart's desire is for him to be healed completely and off all the meds, but we are so grateful that God is looking out for him and that after all this time seems to have found a medication that fits his needs a little better. Without the medication, he would most likely be immobile because of all the pain.

So, he only uses the cane if he knows he will be walking a lot in a day... like Disneyland. Otherwise, it sits behind his bed as a possible use for a weapon.

Please, continue to lift up my Timmy in your prayers. Please, remember to cry out in his behalf. Thanks for your continued support.

We love you all.

My sweet vern and family; I so could not help but have tears and weep for you and Tim. I know from being a wife of a husband who is in that pain that need such strong mediations what you are feeling.
I plead the presious blood of Our Savior Jesus Christ your situation. Jason had been through the gamit of medication. the side effects from them and withdraw is unimagineable. Jason has been on Suboxone for 5 years. With only taking 4 miligrams a day. Gods Blessing medication in our lifes. It has given us life back, literaly.
Please if you EVER need to talk about things you are going through or have gone thru PLEASE call me. I love you. In His Love, Tara
