Thankful Thursday: I have been a bad blogger

First I want to start by saying I am thankful for Jennifer at The Williams Bunch. I have been MIA from the blog world for a several weeks and she was so sweet to check in on me. Thanks, Jen. Love you, Sister. Everything is well over here... just the normal stuff that happens in a house with 6 kiddos going on:

BOYS BEING BOYS

Me: What happened?????? (I am trying to conceal my serious concern as to not scare him.)

Walker: (Pretty calm, just a few tears, he is unaware of the blood at this point) Zack threw a rock at me!

Me: (Giving Karizma the evil eye for looking like she is going to pass out from all the blood.) No worries, Buddy. Let's clean it up.

Walker:
(after catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror) WAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Walker: (More of the same) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! (Then he stops suddenly) Actually it doesn't hurt, it just looks so scary.

Me: (Grabbing my camera and taking a picture, because after 6 kids, you realize that some blood isn't always life and death) So, Walker, what really happened?

Walker: Zack was standing on top of the big rock and I was below, then Zack threw the rock at me, but he couldn't see where I was. I think it was an accident.

Zack: (Walks into restroom, being curious, sees Walker's face full of blood) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I am sorry! I am sorry! I am sorry! It was an accident!

Me: (I had to take a picture of Zack full of remorse. He sat on the stool in the bathroom, crying, and I am sure, replaying what happened, because he would start to cry hard again every few minutes while Walker took a shower.)

So, Walker lived. Zack was sorry. And our day went on as usual.

I am thankful that I have little boys that understand the importance of forgiveness and being forgiven.

A PRINCESS BEING A BLESSING

I am thanking God for this little angel that has so sweetly graced our lives.

"I love playing with my brown dolly!"

"Dolly, when I grow up I am going to have this many children..."

"Looks like I need to use my toes, too..."

"Mommy says that God has me on this earth for a purpose, dolly. I must be very important."

"Dolly, are you listening? Pay attention!"

A MOM BEING A PATIENT

I had surgery 2.5 weeks ago to have some tissue removed that we thought contained a benign tumor. I was going to post the before and after pics, but thought that might be pushing it, so I will spare you all. Anyway, it's funny how little time a mother is allowed to be a patient. Even after having had surgery and trying to recuperate from a 4 inch incision. The kids, especially Miguel and Karizma, were great and helpful. I am having a harder time getting back to normal because I am probably not taking it as easy as I should, but again, tis the life of a mother of 6! I am just so thankful to be able to have had this surgery and have it covered under insurance. We are also so thankful that what they thought was a tumor, ended up just being inflamed tissue.

Thanking God.

A DAD BEING EVERYTHING TO HIS FAMILY

Tim.
What can't I say about him?
Well, I know what I can say about him.
He has been so amazing to me.
I just had to say I am thankful for him and things I learn from him.
He teaches me about forgiveness and sacrifice and hard work and perseverance.
In turn I tell him to let loose sometimes and enjoy himself.

Tim getting sometime to himself will usually include some ice cream.
Oh, and if you are wondering what he is about to say, it is that he is "Thankful for my loving, amazing wife, that is home right now changing poopy diapers, balancing a checkbook, correcting schoolwork and washing my dirty socks as I enjoy myself at the races."

THIS IS THE LIFE!
THANKING GOD FOR IT!

I have to tell you Sis, that when I saw this pic fo Walker on my phone I panicked a lil myself because of all the blood but then it brought back memories of my brothe Dani who would always get cut on the same exact place on his forehead and bleed like crazy but would then get up and continue playing lol....boys lol. So cute..I can totlaly imagine Zach apologizing...he apologized for something he did while we were there and it was so humbling to see.

Isabella has a baby too now... yeah! She seems very curious abotu her new friend. Soon she'll ask for a stroller for her baby:D

What a great tribute to Tim! He is very hardworking like Manuel who's never missed a day of work in the 5 yrs I've known him....even with 102 degree fevers. You too have a marriage that will last forever! I know that they kids see it and will want the same for themselves!

BTW....THANK YOU sooo much for your sweet comment on my post! Disneyworld will soon become a reality for you guys Lord-willing!!!

We Love You Too<3

Life's been busy and happening over here. I've had two birthdays to celebrate. I still need to post on my little Eprhaim who turned 2 on the 28th.

Wow...yep, I can totally relate with boys being boys. I've had broken arms, cut fingers plenty of times over, one finger almost cut off, bumps and more bumps on the head, skinned knees, biking accidents, I can go on.........Good thing Walker is A ok.

Isabella is a cutie!! She is precious. I love her little doll. I need to get one for Ana. She has no dolly yet.

WOw....surgery. I am so glad you are ok and it was minor. :) God is good.

And yes, where would we be without our faithful husbands. You are truly blessed to have such a great husband. Bless you.

LOL! yeah, I'm sure that is what he's saying. It's OK to dream, right?

You have had a lot on your plate. I'm thankful that the surgery went well and is covered by insurance. What a blessing that it turned out to be something minor.

Glad the rock throwing incident turned out OK, too.

God bless you!

Glad you are okay! Thankful the surgery went okay...hope you're healing alright.

Loved all the pics...except for the bloody one. Glad there were no serious injuries.

Isabella looks so big. She is so pretty. Love the earrings (again). Savannah does need some, maybe then people will know she's a girl....her poor little bald head. :-)

So glad to see you blogging again! I had wondered if everything was okay, but then I remembered how I am having a hard time finding the time to blog right now too . . . and I hoped it was the same for you!

The pictures of the boys were so funny! Poor Walker! My boys are the same way--the sight of blood makes them holler bloody murder, when before they saw it, they were fine! Isabella is beautiful--what a dollbaby with her dolly! So precious!

My goodness girl! You def. have reason to be MIA! I had no idea. and God sure has blessed you with a strong stomach. I would be about to have a hissy with that much blood. But so precious about forgiveness.

Wish I had known about your surgery I would have been praying. I will pray now for your complete recovery.

Adorable doll and baby conversation. so precious!

funny about Tim. They don´t realize what goes on sometimes at home while they are away. Sometimes it´s better that way. LOL

What an emotionally packed post. Iw as reading this post while my husband strolled into the kitchen and glanced at the computer just to see the first bloody face picture. He pretty much flipped out. I am, sop glad the damage was not more serious.

I LOVED our commentary for the dolly pictures. Your Little Angel is just so precious. I wish I could hug her myself.

What a relief that your surgery went well and the results were so positive. Prayers were definitely answered. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

Yay for an update! I well understand the lack of updates! It's hard to keep up with everything, but our God is good and merciful! I'm so glad he gives us the time to reflect on where we are at in our lives and share with other friends and family.
I'm so glad that your sergery went well and your mind can rest.

I'm so glad that is wasn't a tumor! PTL! I'm praying you will feel better very quickly.

The rock story is great. It is so wonderful that your son felt remorse for what he did, even though it was an accident. That is so touching!

The Princess is just gorgeous. I can't believe she's that big already.
